“Greetings from Bangladesh.

Lets introduce for myself, I am ***** ********* working on Chandana Management Education Placement (CMEP) as Chief Counselor. I recognized your Institute from my friend who was studying in Russia with me. Basically I have completed my Bachelor & Masters from Education Management in Russia. So this is my track where I can show my experience to promote your Institute in Bangladesh.

We are Chandana Management Education Placement (CMEP), helping Bangladeshi students to study in abroad. Basically this company is sister concern from USA.

We have currently prospective students who are intended to study in Germany and we would like to work with your Institute as education agent in Bangladesh. Please let me know your concern if you are agree to working with us.

Thank you. Hope to hear from you soon.”

I'm pretty sure this isn't appropriate nomenclature...

Today, post-turkey sausage and creamer-free coffee, I was startled to find this e-mail in my inbox:

“Dear Sirs,
we live in Venice and our flat has a single room available, near the Jewish Ghetto. Could you please let me know the conditions for becoming a hosting family?”  -  Kindly Guidos

Now, I see there being three possibilities for the usage of “Jewish Ghetto” in their e-mail.

1. They are upset at the state of crime in Venice and blame those raucous Jews and their “hip hop” music.

2. They are Jews themselves and are trying to reclaim “ghetto” in order to erase negative connotations left by WWII.

3. They are foreign. (This is the most likely, yet least fun possibility.)
